Lanolin is a protective barrier of wax produced by sheep that can be found on their wool. This beneficial wax keeps their wool fleece waterproof and deodorized.
Lanolin closely resembles sebum produced by human oil glands and is easily absorbed into the skin, reducing moisture loss, protecting the epidermis, and restoring elasticity and softness.
Lanolin heals the skin so well its uses can be traced through generations from nursing mothers to healing cracked skin, eczema, burns, and scrapes along with many other skin conditions. Morning or night, lanolin can be used as needed for healing. It can also be used as a thin layer for added skin protection against cold, harsh weather conditions.
