Wild Bird Nesting Material
All the materials used are naturally sought after by wild birds or other little critters to make their nests. The mix is made up of; Michigan Merino wool and natural jute, along with White pine needles and organic field grasses from Northeastern Michigan landscape.
Sheep to you, the wool has been cleaned, carded and handled organically. All material strands are also no longer than 2 “ – as requested by the Cornell Lab, to help prevent matting/tangling for the safety of the birds.
Our 100% Merino wool is sourced from Michigan sheep ranches. Our partnering ranches take pride in their low carbon footprint and humane care for their sheep. The Merino wool is mite, mold and mildew resistant, fire retardant and water repellent. These factors leave no worries if birds build in structures where they really shouldn’t.
Our package’s label is recycled paper and the bag is made of 100% plant material and certified 100% Compostable.
